Remove Moles Naturally at Home

Did you know that you can remove unsightly moles naturally at home for just a few pennies? Even if your insurance policy covers the procedure, many people still spend hundreds of dollars to have a doctor remove a bothersome mole. Because the procedure is cosmetic, some insurance companies refuse to pay anything at all, and you are left to cover the full cost.

Depending on the size of the mole, the doctor can remove it in the office in just a few minutes with a variety of procedures including cutting, chemical burning and freezing. But if you do not want to pay the co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles, or you do not like the idea of someone cutting your skin with a scalpel, you can remove the mole safely at home.

Before attempting to remove any moles, warts or skin tags at home, you should allow a doctor to examine the mole first. Any moles that are scaly, itchy, or have recently changed in size, shape or color must be professionally removed and tested because these could be skin cancer, or pre-cancerous lesions. Only a doctor can tell you for sure. If your moles are benign and only a cosmetic flaw, remove them yourself at home.

Needed Items for Home Mole, Wart and Skin Tag Removal

Emory board
Q-tips
Apple cider vinegar (White vinegar will also work)
Band aids

Rough the surface of the wart, mole or skin tag with the Emory board. This sounds much worse than it actually is. The surface of these skin abnormalities is thick and tough. The thought of scratching a mole made me weak in the knees, but you will hardly feel it. Make sure you thoroughly rub the surface of the mole, even the sides if the mole is raised.

Dip a Q-tip in the apple cider vinegar and press the moistened Q-tip to the mole. Proceed with this step slowly. You will feel a burning and stinging sensation as the vinegar penetrates the mole. You may want to lightly press the Q-tip to the mole for just a second and remove it to test how painful it is first. When you are comfortable that the pain is not too severe, press and hold the Q-tip to the mole for at least twenty minutes. Make sure that you cover the entire surface of the mole. If you feel no burning or stinging, the treatment is not working. Use the Emory board again, a little more vigorously.

Place a band aid over the mole after using the apple cider vinegar. The following day, the mole should have a scab covering the surface. If the area is not scabbed, use the Emory board again and reapply the apple cider vinegar. Use Neosporin if you like and keep the scab covered with a band aid to speed the healing process. When the scab falls off, the mole will fall off with it. Do not prematurely pull away the scab. Allow the scab to naturally fall off to lessen your changes of developing a scar.

Since skin tags are generally small, they will scab over and fall away quickly. Warts and moles may take several treatments before they are completely gone
